Academic Writing Guidance
with our resident Royal Literary Fellow (available October to mid-June)
The Royal Literary Fund Fellowship scheme was conceived with the intention of placing professional writers in higher education institutions. The principal aim of the Fellow's work is to foster good writing practice across disciplines and media.

We are pleased to host Dr Anne Caldwell in the role of Royal Literary Fellow, who is employed by the Royal Literary Fund to help students with their academic essay writing.
The Fellow provides sessions between October and mid-June each academic year.
Do you need help with your academic essay writing?
Dr Anne Caldwell is the new Royal Literary Fellow for the University of Huddersfield and will be working with us on Tuesdays and Wednesdays during term time. Her role is to help students on a one-to-one basis with their academic writing skills in a free, confidential and relaxed setting in an office in the University Library. These sessions are not part of student assessment. Anne is an award winning poet, short story writer, essayist and editor and can work with students of all disciplines. She is friendly and approachable and has recently been a PhD student herself, so she understands some of the writing issues other students might face.
Please email Anne at anne.caldwell@rlfeducation.org.uk to book an appointment for a Tuesday or Wednesday on campus.
Please note that RLF Writing Fellows do not undertake proofreading or English for Academic Purposes (EAP) tuition.
