Outline Project Description

The purpose of the project is to provide the JISC community with a case study of the implementation, evaluation and launch of Summon, a “next generation” resource discovery product from Serials Solutions, by two early UK adopters — the Universities of Huddersfield and Northumbria.

This will be done by:

• Documenting the selection and implementation processes at both institutions
• Undertaking a full evaluation of the product, including usability testing via focus groups and other feedback mechanisms
• Sharing appropriate code
• Making available generic training materials
• Recommending future enhancements
• Dissemination of these findings via appropriate publication and public events
