We are currently experiencing a problem using Internet Explorer to search Summon.
This appears to be due to an update to the software from the supplier (Ex Libris) and we are currently waiting for the company’s support team to resolve the problem.
Please accept our apologies for the inconvenience this is causing.
Until this is fully resolved, the workaround is to use an alternative web browser such as Chrome, Safari, Firefox or Opera.

Taylor & Francis Online is experiencing some technical difficulties which may affect access to content on their website.
They apologise for any downtime and are working to restore access as soon as possible.

Our suppliers are currently experiencing problems meaning that access to IEEE is not currently available. They are working to resolve this as a matter of priority.

Our supplier will be updating our library catalogue Summon overnight starting on Saturday 1 September 2018 at 10pm with the work due to finish on Sunday 2 September at 1am.
During this time you may experience problems with searching Summon and with searching for journals.
On Monday 27th August 2018 from 7am for approximately 5 hours there will be an update taking place to Summon. This will mean that at some points during the update the Journals Search will not be available.
Things that you may experience during this period:
- Journals Search will be unavailable at points throughout the update. It should be considered at risk for the full 5 hour period.
- You may notice the book and ebook records in Summon are not displaying in the way they usually do.
Things to try if you are experiencing problems:
- If you know the name of the journal article you are looking for search Summon for direct access to electronic articles.
- The Electronic Resources list and the Subject Guides will remain accessible and you will be able to search resources using the links available there.
- If you are searching Summon for an ebook click on the ‘eBook: Full Text Online’ link to go straight to the ebook.
- If you are looking for a print book you should be able to see the location and availability on the Summon results screen.
