We are thrilled to announce that this year the keynote speaker is Marshall Breeding who will be giving the presentation Library Automation around the World:
"Libraries in each part of the globe have their distinct flavors of collections and services with varying levels of resources. Marshall Breeding will discuss some of the current and upcoming challenges that he sees in the realm of library automation, not just in his own region of North America, but also from his observations in Latin America, Asia, and Europe. Among other recent adventures, Breeding spent three weeks of December 2009 as a Senior Fulbright Specialist in Argentina.
Intertwined in his presentation, Breeding will highlight some of the themes that he sees playing out in the library automation product and business arena. Through his Library Technology Guides website and the various articles and news accounts that he writes each month, Breeding keeps close tabs on the industry. Come prepared with any questions you would like addressed."
