Another busy week, with the MyReading Project Team adding over 4,000 more references to the system

In terms of other progress…

reading list interface

we’ve had some really useful feedback from staff and students, and this will feed in to an update of the interface which will appear in the next 2 or 3 weeks
at present, the interface relies on JavaScript (particularly jQuery), but the update will include a fully functional non-JavaScript version
for the moment, you should regard the software as being in an early beta stage — some features are missing another others need tweaking

modules and lists

for the first version of the software, we’ve been working off a dump of modules that’s several months old — by mid-May, we hope to be using a live data stream from ASIS to keep the module details up-to-date

staff info

at the moment, we only have the module info from ASIS to work with (which just provides details of the module leader), but we hope to begin bringing in module tutor data from Blackboard shortly
once we have the data from Blackboard, lists will be able to be edited by the module leader and also by the tutors

We’ve begun to pump-prime the MyReading system with the lists that have been previously processed by the library

The import system is an automated process, so we’ll be manually checking each list has loaded correctly.
