A recent change to the ScienceDirect web site is causing login issues for off-campus users.

Until ScienceDirect are able to fully resolve the problem, access is only available via the following link:

http://libaccess.hud.ac.uk/login?url=http://www.sciencedirect.com/

I’m please to say this issue has now been resolved. To login into ScienceDirect from off-campus, select the “Login” link and then locate the entry for “University of Huddersfield – Athens”:

There is currently a problem accessing the ScienceDirect web site. This is a global problem which hopefully will be fixed shortly.

There’s currently a problem with article links from Summon to the Lancet Neurology journal on ScienceDirect. Articles prior to 2006 seem to be unaffected. The issues has been reported to Serials Solutions.

ScienceDirect will be unavailable due to scheduled maintenance for approximately 9 hours during the period from 12:30 pm to 09:30 pm GMT on Saturday, 28 Aug.

ScienceDirect is currently unavailable due to unscheduled maintenance. The problem has been reported to the publishers.

The first time you use Science Direct, you will need to register. On the resource website home page, top right hand side, select Athens Login. You will be given the option to register at this point. To re-visit Science Direct, you will need to login via the Athens link.

ScienceDirect and Scopus are unavailable again until 10pm GMT today due to scheduled maintenance.

Elsevier have announced that ScienceDirect and Scopus will be unavailable during the following period for scheduled maintenance:

Sunday 2nd November, from 1am GMT until 1pm GMT

Further disruption is expected on 15th November and we’ll post more details in due course.
