Newspaper archives on Gale Cengage (resolved)

Some of the newspaper archive collections on the Gale Cengage web site are currently unavailable and are returning the following error message:

The affected archives are:

- 17th-18th Century Burney Collection Newspapers
- 19th Century British Library Newspapers
- British Newspapers 1600-1900

The NewsVault database appears to be unaffected and can be used as an alternative.

The problem has been reported to Gale Cengage.

We are currently experiencing intermittent access problems with the Gale databases LitFinder, LRC and MLA. The publisher has been informed of the problem.

We’re currently investigating a problem with accessing the Gale resources, which includes Literature Resource Center.
