Mac Safari and Summon
Eariler on today we identified an issue with the Mac Safari web browser that was blocking access to full-text and displaying a message about cookies…
“Licensing agreements for these databases require that access be extended only to authorized users. Once you have been validated by this system, a “cookie” is sent to your browser as an ongoing indication of your authorization to access these databases. This cookie only needs to be set once during login.
This appears to be a case of Safari blocking 3rd party cookies that we didn’t come across during testing.
A fix has now been put in place and we apologise for any inconvenience caused.
If you are still getting the cookie error message with Safari, please try emptying the browser’s cache.
