On 1 April 2012 the IEEE will release its new IEEE Xplore platform. The following changes will occure:

1. Individuals signing in with an IEEE Account user name (the personal account user name which is used to set individual preferences) will be prompted to change their current user name to their e-mail address.

2. Saved Searches and Search History will be deleted: All current saved searches and search history records will be DELETED with this release. Users are encouraged to copy and paste their saved searches into a document so they can recreate the search after launch. Table of Contents alerts are not affected and will remain active.

 On Saturday 24th March, , access on this web site may be interrupted for up to 4 hours (10:00-14:00 UCT/GMT), due to essential site maintenance.

We’re expecting that Summon and 360 Link will be temporarily unavailable from 00:00 to 02:00 on Sunday 25th March…

Due to extenuating circumstances, Serials Solutions services will be unavailable to you and your patrons on Saturday, March 24, 2012, starting at 5:00 p.m. PDT (world time conversion) in order to implement an emergency upgrade. The service outage will be no more than one hour.

There is an intermittent problem with access to Westlaw. The problem has been reported.

Trial access is available to Key Note until 1st May.

Alongside approx 2500 market reports and Ratios on Key Note, they have a database of 7 million Directors, Secretaries, Shareholders, LLP’s, all UK PLC’s and Limited Companies (this is updated daily).

They added a list builder service to the site for  subscribers and this allows students to compile and export lists of 300 at a time into excel spreadsheets using SIC, turnover, postal code pre fix area, number of employees etc. Coming soon, they are adding some original scanned Companies House documents to the site in the coming weeks too.

There is currently a problem accessing content on the ‘Sound on Sound’ web site.

ProQuest will be performing infrastructure maintenance on March 24th/25th, 2012. A twelve (12) hour window will be required for this maintenance. The window will take place from Sunday, March 25, 2012 at 03:00 for twelve (12) hours
