Manchester Medieval Sources Online trial access
We have trial access to Manchester Medieval Sources Online – Providing easy access to digital history sources, Medieval Sources Online brings essential texts from the Manchester University Press Medieval Sources series to students and academics all over the world. From the terror of the Black Death to the drama of the Norman invasion, Manchester Medieval Sources brings alive the reality of life in the medieval world through these first hand accounts, many translated into English for the first time. The series is also unique in providing extensive introductory and explanatory material which will enable a beginner in the area to understand the variety of interpretations the sources have had, and any linguistic problems that have been controversial.
The trial runs until 9th March, and is on campus only.
Trial access to SAE Digital Library
We currently have 2 weeks trial access to the SAE Digital Library. The trial allows us unlimited access to the features of Digital Library although only a few sample documents can be dowloaded.
Access is available until 22nd November 2012 and is via IP/on campus only.

Trial access to ProQuest’s Business dissertations and theses via Ebrary
We currently have trial access available to ProQuest’s Business dissertations and theses via the Ebrary platform.
The Business Dissertations and Theses database, which includes 2,400 titles in areas such as business administration, emerging markets, economics, public finance, sovereign debt, and marketing, enables scholars to mine emerging research from world-renowned business schools for new ideas and comparative study.
Access is available until 31st August 2012 and is on campus only
Trial access to Acta Sanctorum available
The Acta Sanctorum Database is an electronic version of the complete printed text of Acta Sanctorum, from the edition published in sixty-eight volumes by the Société des Bollandistes in Antwerp and Brussels. It is a collection of documents examining the lives of saints, organised according to each saint’s feast day, and runs from the two January volumes published in 1643 to the Propylaeum to December published in 1940.
The Acta Sanctorum Database contains the entire Acta Sanctorum, including all prefatory material, original texts, critical apparatus and indices. Bibliotheca Hagiographica Latina reference numbers, essential references for scholars, are also included.
The trial runs until 29th July 2012.

Academic Charts Online brings together over a million data points including Artist, Single, Album, Label and Chart Position all at the touch of a button. Developed in close consultation with experienced music librarians, ACO has been tried and tested to ensure it is accessible to scholars, students and researchers in diverse music and social science disciplines. Trial access is available until the end of July.

Entertainment Industry Magazine Archive
An archival research resource containing the essential primary sources for studying the history of the film and entertainment industries, from the era of vaudeville and silent movies through to 2000. The core US and UK trade magazines covering film, music, broadcasting and theater are all included, together with film fan magazines and music press titles.
