Monthly Archives: December 2010

Finally you can access staff email addresses from Unimail!!

Good news!  You should have received an email by now to let you know that you can now access staff email addresses through Unimail.

The easiest way for you to do this is to type out the full name of the member of staff you want to email (e.g. John Smith) in the To: box, and then click on the Check Names icon (it looks like a person with a blue tick).  If there is more than one John Smith then a dialogue box will appear asking you to select the one that you want.  If it is a staff member, then it will be the staff member’s full name with the email address in square brackets after it (e.g. John Smith [j.smith@hud.ac.uk]) a student email address  will display their first initial, surname and the student number.

If you have any problems, please come to the Library and Computing Centre and ask for Julie.

Don’t forget…

If you have any books on loan to check the date they are due back and renew them if you wish to borrow them over the Christmas period and avoid  a late return fine.

!!!Anything borrowed from Monday 19th December should be due back Tuesday 4th January!!!

You can renew books online via the ‘My Account’ tab in the  library catalogue (http://webcat.hud.ac.uk), by ringing us on 01226 644281 during our opening hours or you can ring the 24 hour renewals line on 01484 472045
