We have a full P.A and a great sound. A Yamaha Tyros 4 Keyboard is also available for any pianist/ Keyboardist to use, no need to bring your own on your back Lol
If anyone is seeking somewhere to showcase their talents or just looking for somewhere to go during the summer break, Thomas of York Bar is a very nice venue which provides for a great atmosphere for all.
So any Musicians, Singers, Comedians, Poets, or even Magicians in fact anyone who wishes to have a go on the open mic or just enjoy an evening of entertainment can bring themselves along and join in the fun….. The more the merrier!!

Come join us at the UCB library on Monday 23rd April to celebrate World Book Night. We have 24 copies of Roald Dahl’s “Someone Like You” to give away to keen-eyed library users. Just find one of the World Book Night stickers scattered throughout the library and a copy is yours!
We’re hoping to be involved with a pilot of a new game – Digital Ninja. The Digital Ninja project aims to create a re-usable game-based learning model and environment to support skills acquisition in a motivating way. Click here to learn more and vote.
World book day
On Thursday March 1st we will be celebrating World Book Day here at UCB Library. Fill out a comment card to tell us how you would like us to communicate with you in the future – email, Twitter, text etc – if you do this you will be entered into a prize draw for a £20 book token.
Fair Trade Fortnight
As its also Fair Trade week we will also have some Fair Trade chocolate, biscuits and cake
(while stocks last) for you to sample.

It’s hard to believe it but the start of a new term is only a few days away. A warm welcome to all new students and hello again to all continuing students, hope you’ve all had a great summer.
The campus will be holding a Macmillan Coffee Morning on Friday 23 September. Tea/coffee and cakes (mostly homemade depending on how frazzled we are after all the inductions!) will be available for students in the Library from 10:30 – 12:00.
Students please support our coffee morning by either donating (baking or buying) cakes or by purchasing some at the coffee morning.
